Course Overview

Vulnerability management is a complex process and understanding the risks security loopholes pose in your network is key to tackling them. By automating the process of identifying and addressing vulnerabilities before attackers exploit them, the risk of a cyber breach is eliminated. With automation, you can accelerate the process of remediation by eliminating manual processes and repetitive steps. Thus, increasing the speed at which security teams implement vulnerability fixes.  

This course will equip you with the technical skills required to build, manage, and maintain an effective vulnerability management program. Using QualysGuard - an industry-standard vulnerability management tool, you will learn how to set up a test virtual environment to conduct scans, identify vulnerabilities, prioritize, and remediate them using patch management tools such as BigFix & Microsoft SCCM. Additionally, you will understand how to prepare and deliver accurate technical progress reports. 

In summary, after completing this course, you will gain the knowledge and skills to develop a robust vulnerability management program that effectively identifies and remediates vulnerabilities.

Chikodili Udeh is an avid reader, Educator, Certified Ethical Hacker and Qualys Vulnerability Management Specialist. She has over 5 years’ experience in IT Security with a direct focus in Risk & Vulnerability Management. Chikodili teaches Vulnerability Management and Penetration Testing at Hacktales where she maintains a track record of elucidating complex cybersecurity courses in a fun, engaging and practical way. Outside of teaching, Chikodili provides cybersecurity consulting services to clients across various industries within Africa to help bridge security gaps. She holds a Bachelors’ degree in Computer Engineering from Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria. Chikodili is passionate about sharing her experience and knowledge with current and future aspiring cybersecurity professionals.
