Course Overview

TypeScript is a strongly typed superset of JavaScript that compiles down to plain JavaScript. It brings static typing and powerful developer tooling to JavaScript, making code more predictable, maintainable, and less prone to errors. For beginners stepping into web development or experienced developers looking to improve their JS code quality, learning TypeScript is essential. It helps in building scalable applications and is increasingly becoming a must-have skill in modern frontend and backend development workflows, especially in large codebases or team environments.

This course begins with the basics of TypeScript, introducing learners to its setup, compilation, basic types, type inference, and working with objects, arrays, tuples, enums, and more. It then moves into deeper concepts like functions, interfaces, and classes—covering function overloading, arrow functions, class inheritance, access modifiers, and interface integration. Learners will also explore generics, decorators (including method and class decorators), modules, and namespaces. The course concludes by applying TypeScript in a React environment, demonstrating how to integrate type checking, manage props, and use hooks with TypeScript.
