Course Overview

With governments and companies across the globe becoming more dependent on technology and systems, it's never been easier for a rogue state to interfere with the inner workings of an enemy country. Warfare is no longer limited to military versus military engagements, and cyber warfare acts such as destroying critical national infrastructure such as automated power plants, stock markets, and transportation systems could cause massive financial and physical damage, as well as loss of life, and disable a nation.  

Cybersecurity and IT professionals as well as senior leaders working in the critical infrastructure, financial and government sectors must be able to detect and respond to cyber espionage or sabotage attempts before the attackers can steal data or cause widespread damage. It is crucial for security teams working in the corporate sector to be trained in recognizing and defending against cyber warfare attempts and tactics, as enterprises must be able to withstand and recover from large-scale cyberattacks as a matter of national security. Government officials, military members, and cyber planners must also be aware of the cyber warfare threats and tactics to devise an offensive and defensive cybersecurity strategy. The course is designed to reach an international audience and will encourage discussion on relevant current events among participants to enrich the experience with various personal and cultural perspectives on cutting-edge issues.
