Course Overview

The news is full of tragic stories of organizations that failed to properly collect and act on cyber threat intelligence. Your organization wants to ensure the integrity and availability of its services and protect brand reputation in the face of ever-more-present cyber threat actors. It is essential that you educate yourself on the fundamentals of gathering and acting on cyber threat intelligence to optimize risk mitigation. 

This course will give you foundational skills required in understanding, gathering, and applying cyber threat intelligence, which will allow you to better protect what is important to you. This course is intended to explain cyber threat intelligence fundamentals in a concise and pertinent fashion, with practical demonstrations of relevant tools whenever possible.

By the end of this course, you will be empowered to create and participate in cyber threat intelligence collection and analysis. You will gain an understanding of cyber threats, threat modelling, the threat intelligence lifestyle, frameworks like ATT&CK and STRIDE, the utility of log aggregation tools and vulnerability scanners, and how to apply frameworks like CVSS to actionably evaluate cyber risk.
