Course Overview

Salesforce is built with security to protect your data and applications. You can also implement your own security scheme to reflect the structure and needs of your organization. Protecting your data is a joint responsibility between you and Salesforce. Salesforce is a versatile platform well-suited for many businesses.

This course will help in setting up user entails and the initial steps to ensure basic security access.  It will give an overview of the four overall levels of security and then dive deeper into what security at the organizational level entails. Salesforce security tools can limit the exposure of data to the users that act on it. You can allow users to view an object, but then restrict the individual object records they’re allowed to see. Salesforce allows controlling access to an org through username and password as well as specific profile and security settings. 

This course will provide step-by-step guidance on how to configure platform-level security and ensure that users are able to access information that they are permitted to view.

By the end of this course, you will have learned the basic and fundamental principles of securing access at the four main levels in Salesforce. This course is for you if you are taking part in either the decision-making or configuration process, which will impact the level of security and access to users.
