Course Overview

Today infrastructures have a lot of components and a. Managing all of this stuff effectively takes some effort, and configuration management tools such as Ansible can help Ansible is an automation engine that can help with provisioning infrastructure, configuring operating systems, deploying applications and a lot more.

The goal of this course is to teach you how to get started using Ansible for automation. By the end of this course, you should be able to create playbooks to automate both system administration tasks and also security-related tasks.

Understanding a tool such as Ansible brings value to engineers as they can playbooks to automate the creation of staging and production environments. Using Ansible also increases consistency in the way tasks are hard implemented within the environment thus reducing bugs.

One of the features of Ansible which makes it so nice to use is the YAML based playbooks because YAML tends to be a very simple format for expressing tasks.
