WordPress Reconnaissance and Vulnerability Exploitation

WordPress websites are widely used and frequently targeted due to common misconfigurations and exposed components. Effective security assessment requires both reconnaissance and exploitation to uncover and validate potential vulnerabilities. This lab simulates a real-world penetration testing scenario focused on WordPress environments. You will explore techniques to identify exposed files, analyze information disclosure points, and enumerate core components. Additionally, you will perform targeted attacks against vulnerable endpoints such as XML-RPC to demonstrate their impact. Through hands-on exercises, you will gain practical experience in identifying weaknesses and understanding how attackers exploit them.
