Course Overview

The Detection & Security Essentials course begins by teaching how to detect ARP poisoning, identify suspicious network activities using Wireshark, and use tools like NetStalker for network discovery and sniffing. These skills form the foundation for recognizing early signs of network attacks and understanding how attackers move within a system. 

Next, the course focuses on gaining access by identifying and exploiting multiple system vulnerabilities. You’ll also learn user-targeted attacks, including creating and testing backdoors with Veil, capturing sessions, and taking control of Windows and Android devices. Additionally, the course covers the BeEF framework, showing how attackers can hook browsers and steal passwords from email and social media accounts. Finally, you will master post-exploitation techniques by creating Trojans, managing file transfers, capturing keylogs, and maintaining access through persistent sessions.
