Course Overview

Infrastructure as Code has become a cornerstone of modern cloud engineering, enabling organizations to provision, manage, and scale infrastructure consistently through automation. Combined with AWS Fargate, Terraform allows developers and DevOps engineers to deploy containerized applications without managing servers, improving scalability, reliability, and operational efficiency. This course provides practical experience in building cloud-native infrastructure using industry-standard AWS services and Terraform.

This course begins with a Flask-based web application and its architecture before introducing Terraform for provisioning core AWS infrastructure, including networking, SNS, SQS, Application Load Balancers, and AWS Certificate Manager. You will then deploy containerized applications to Amazon ECS Fargate using Docker, Amazon ECR, IAM roles, task definitions, and target groups. The course continues with implementing CPU, memory, step-based, and SQS-driven autoscaling policies using Terraform, followed by testing real-world scaling scenarios. Finally, you will explore AWS Fargate pricing models, compare costs with EC2, and apply optimization techniques using ARM architectures, Fargate Spot, and Savings Plans.

By the end of this course, you will be able to automate, deploy, scale, and optimize containerized applications on AWS using Terraform and Amazon ECS Fargate.
