Course Overview

Oracle WebLogic Server 12c is a Java Enterprise Edition (Java EE) application server developed by Oracle Corporation. The "12c" in its name stands for "12 Cloud," indicating its focus on providing features and enhancements for cloud computing environments. It's part of the larger Oracle Fusion Middleware suite of products. 

This course introduces you to Oracle WebLogic 12c. You will learn skills necessary to understand basic WebLogic concepts and administrative tasks. This course is geared toward administrators, developers, or architects who are looking to understand fundamental WebLogic concepts and how to spin up a WebLogic environment quickly. Screencasts will be used so that you can follow along at home.

At the end of this course, you will have an understanding on how to install WebLogic, create WebLogic domains, and administer WebLogic.

Christopher has over 15 years of software development, architecture, and IT management experience in defense and commercial industries, focusing on enterprise and cloud architectures. He has consulted as an architect and sales consultant with companies such as Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, Raytheon, and Oracle on the implementation and use of Oracle Fusion Middleware products including Oracle WebLogic Server, SOA Suite, and Identity and Access Management. He received his undergraduate and graduate degrees in Computer Science and Systems Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic University in Troy, NY, and Penn State University respectively. Chris resides with his beautiful family in Denver, Colorado USA.
