Course Overview

The Cisco Certified CyberOps Associate (200-201) - Part 1 course provides a strong foundation in cybersecurity operations, equipping learners with essential knowledge to detect, analyze, and respond to security threats. With the increasing sophistication of cyberattacks, organizations require skilled professionals who can monitor and protect digital environments. This course introduces critical security concepts and monitoring techniques necessary for building a career in cybersecurity and preparing for the Cisco CyberOps Associate certification.

This course begins with Security Concepts, covering fundamental topics such as the CIA Triad, security deployments, defense-in-depth principles, and access control models. Learners will explore key terminologies, security frameworks like CVSS 3.1, and the challenges associated with data visibility and loss prevention. It then moves on to Security Monitoring, where participants will gain insights into attack surfaces, vulnerabilities, network-based and web-based attacks, social engineering, endpoint threats, and evasion techniques. Additionally, the course introduces cryptography, encryption algorithms, and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) to help learners understand data protection mechanisms.
