Course Overview

Cisco SD-WAN Programming enables network engineers and developers to automate and manage SD-WAN infrastructures efficiently using APIs and programming tools like Python, Postman, and Ansible. As enterprises increasingly adopt software-defined networking, mastering SD-WAN automation is crucial for optimizing network performance, improving scalability, and reducing operational complexity. This course provides hands-on experience in leveraging APIs to streamline SD-WAN configurations, monitoring, and policy enforcement, ensuring professionals stay ahead in network automation.  

This course begins with an introduction to using Postman for REST API-based SD-WAN programming, followed by an overview of essential tools needed for hands-on labs. Learners will explore Python scripting for SD-WAN automation, covering authentication, retrieving data via the SD-WAN API, and writing configuration changes. The course also demonstrates how Postman can generate Python code for API interactions. Additionally, it introduces Ansible, covering its fundamentals and its role in SD-WAN automation, helping learners apply infrastructure-as-code principles to network management.  

By the end of this course, learners will gain hands-on expertise in automating SD-WAN tasks using Python, Postman, and Ansible, improving operational efficiency and reducing manual network management efforts.
