Course Overview

VMware vSphere 8 is a widely used virtualization platform for managing virtualized infrastructure, making its security essential for protecting hosts, virtual machines, management components, and sensitive organizational data. Securing a vSphere environment helps organizations reduce attack surfaces, protect workloads, maintain trusted infrastructure, and support security and compliance requirements.

This course begins with the security foundations of vSphere 8, including its security landscape, common vulnerabilities, TPM 2.0, Secure Boot, and vSphere Trust Authority. It then covers virtual machine encryption and key management, ESXi hardening, authentication, Active Directory integration, certificates, storage security, Host Profiles, vCenter security, Aria Operations for Logs, auditing, lifecycle management, and CIS and DISA benchmark alignment.

You will take away practical knowledge for securing, monitoring, hardening, and maintaining a compliant vSphere 8 environment.
