Course Overview

Cybersecurity has become a foundational capability for protecting digital systems, business operations, and sensitive information in an increasingly connected world. This course begins with foundational cybersecurity concepts, including the CIA triad, attack surfaces, cybersecurity domains, frameworks, organizational roles, and security awareness practices. You will then explore identity and access management principles such as authentication models, least privilege, Zero Trust, privileged access management, and secrets management. The course also covers threat landscapes, including social engineering, phishing, malware, web vulnerabilities, encryption, and AI-enabled attacks, before introducing Security Operations Center (SOC) concepts, SIEM, XDR, SOAR, threat hunting, incident response, and emerging security operations practices.

By the end of this course, you will be able to understand cybersecurity fundamentals, apply security best practices, recognize threats, and support security operations activities.
