Course Overview

Ethical hacking and Capture the Flag (CTF) challenges are essential for developing hands-on cybersecurity skills. CTF exercises simulate real-world hacking scenarios, allowing learners to identify vulnerabilities, exploit weaknesses, and improve their penetration testing techniques in a controlled environment. By mastering these challenges, security professionals can enhance their ability to secure systems, think like attackers, and defend against cyber threats effectively.

This course begins with setting up a virtual lab environment using VirtualBox and Kali Linux, ensuring a safe and practical testing ground. It then progresses through various CTF challenges, starting with Basic Pentesting, which introduces fundamental penetration testing techniques. Learners then tackle beginner-to-intermediate level challenges, including DeRPnStiNK and Stapler, which cover enumeration, privilege escalation, and exploit execution. The course culminates in the Mr. Robot CTF, an intermediate-level challenge inspired by the popular TV series, where participants apply advanced exploitation and hacking strategies.

By the end of this course, learners will gain practical experience in ethical hacking, strengthen their penetration testing skills, and develop a hacker mindset essential for cybersecurity professionals.
