Course Overview

Penetration testing is a critical cybersecurity practice that enables organizations to identify and remediate vulnerabilities before they can be exploited by attackers. BlackArch Linux is a specialized penetration testing distribution containing thousands of security tools for reconnaissance, vulnerability assessment, exploitation, and digital forensics. This course provides practical, hands-on experience using BlackArch Linux to perform comprehensive penetration testing and security assessments across real-world environments.

This course begins with the installation and configuration of BlackArch Linux, including setting up Windows and BlackArch systems to create a secure penetration testing lab. You will then explore information gathering and reconnaissance using industry-standard tools such as Dmitry, Nmap, and Recon-ng to discover and map target systems. The course continues with vulnerability assessment and penetration testing techniques, including FTP attacks, SQL injection, web application testing with Burp Suite, and social engineering methodologies. You will also learn techniques for bypassing antivirus protections in controlled lab environments while understanding the associated security implications and defensive considerations.

By the end of this course, you will be able to perform information gathering, vulnerability assessments, web application testing, and penetration testing using BlackArch Linux while applying industry-standard tools and best practices to improve organizational security.
