Course Overview

In an increasingly interconnected world, safeguarding personal data has become both a legal necessity and an ethical imperative. The course "Implementing Global Data Protection Policy" provides an in-depth exploration of the role of a Global Data Privacy Officer (DPO+G), a vital figure in modern organizational governance. With growing regulatory pressure and public scrutiny, businesses need professionals who understand international privacy mandates and can implement protective frameworks to ensure compliance, build trust, and avoid penalties. This course equips professionals with the expertise required to lead global data protection strategies across jurisdictions.

This course begins with foundational insights into the role of a Global Data Privacy Officer, covering statutory requirements, core responsibilities, and how to structure a capable privacy team. It then explores key roles such as data controllers, processors, and subjects, offering clarity on overlaps and legal obligations. The course dives into a comparative study of major data protection regulations, including GDPR (Europe), CCPA (USA), LGPD (Brazil), and frameworks from Canada, China, Singapore, and more. Learners are also introduced to unifying frameworks like the NIST Privacy Framework and ISO standards, followed by practical responsibilities such as conducting privacy impact assessments, managing third-party risks, handling incidents, and enforcing data access rights.

A comprehensive course for mastering global data privacy, its frameworks, and the operational duties of a DPO+G. Essential for compliance, governance, and trust-building in a data-driven world.
