Course Overview

The Internet of Things (IoT) is reshaping industries by connecting devices, collecting data, and enabling intelligent decision-making. AWS IoT Core is Amazon’s robust cloud service for managing and interacting with IoT-connected devices securely at scale. Learning AWS IoT is essential for developers and engineers aiming to build smart, data-driven applications that operate across distributed environments. This course provides a practical and hands-on introduction to AWS IoT, guiding learners through every step - from setting up devices to visualizing insights.

This course begins with an introduction to AWS IoT Core, exploring its architecture, features, and how to set up budget alerts. You’ll then learn to register and securely connect devices like Raspberry Pi and ESP32 to AWS IoT Core. The course dives into notification systems with Amazon SNS, task scheduling using CloudWatch Events, and messaging via Amazon SQS. You’ll also explore how AWS Lambda functions can trigger events and how to use SQS to send messages to a Raspberry Pi. The final section introduces data visualization through Amazon QuickSight, using Amazon Kinesis, Firehose, Athena, and S3 to analyze and display IoT-generated sensor data.

By the end of this course, you’ll be able to deploy, trigger, and visualize IoT solutions on AWS, enabling end-to-end cloud-based smart system implementations.
