Course Overview

Google Cloud IoT is a powerful platform that connects, manages, and processes data from globally dispersed IoT devices. As industries increasingly rely on connected systems for automation, monitoring, and decision-making, mastering cloud-based IoT solutions has become essential. This course equips learners with foundational knowledge and hands-on experience to leverage Google Cloud’s IoT Core for building real-time, scalable, and intelligent IoT applications.

This course begins with an introduction to Google Cloud IoT Core, its architecture, and the initial setup including budgeting and alert systems. Learners then explore device registration, secure data transmission using OpenSSL, and connecting a DHT11 sensor with Raspberry Pi to send telemetry data to the cloud. The next section focuses on triggering actions through ESP32, including setting up Arduino IDE, interfacing LCDs, and using Google Cloud Functions for remote control. The course continues with building real-time notification systems using Twilio and SendGrid, followed by task automation with Cloud Scheduler. It wraps up with data visualization using Cloud Dataflow, BigQuery, and Data Studio.

By the end, learners will understand how to build, connect, control, and visualize cloud-based IoT systems using Google Cloud tools effectively.
