Course Overview

The Microsoft Azure IoT platform is a powerful suite of tools and services designed to manage, monitor, and scale IoT devices and applications seamlessly in the cloud. As the Internet of Things continues to evolve, cloud-based solutions are vital to enable secure connectivity, real-time analytics, and device management. Learning Azure IoT is essential for developers and professionals who aim to build smart, scalable, and secure IoT solutions in industries like manufacturing, healthcare, agriculture, and smart cities. This course begins with an overview of the Azure IoT architecture, setting up a free Azure account, and laying out a learning roadmap. You’ll then dive into a warm-up project by connecting ESP32 and Raspberry Pi with Azure IoT Hub to send sensor data and understand Arduino and Python code interactions. Moving into real-world projects, you’ll use Azure Services like Service Bus to subscribe and trigger LEDs, schedule actions, and implement Python scripts. Further, you'll build on this by sending user notifications, visualizing sensor data, and ensuring secure data transmission. The course concludes with a deep dive into security best practices including token usage and X.509 certificates. Gain hands-on experience building real-time IoT solutions on Azure, from device integration to data visualization, while ensuring robust security and efficient cloud connectivity.
