Course Overview

As organizations increasingly adopt IPv6, it's crucial to recognize its vulnerabilities and implement proper defense strategies. This course is designed for network administrators, cybersecurity professionals, and anyone looking to secure IPv6-based infrastructures by addressing common attack vectors and security practices.

This course begins with an introduction to IPv6 security, explaining why it matters and how it has evolved from IPv4. Next, it dives into IPv6 architecture, covering its headers, addressing, and the vulnerabilities introduced by new features, including ICMPv6. You will then explore how to plan IPv6 addresses strategically for security and develop security policies. The course also focuses on securing IPv6 networks, from common attack prevention to security auditing, and configuring IPv6-compatible firewalls and DNSSEC. Advanced security techniques, such as using IPsec and practical tools, are discussed in the final chapters.

By the end of this course, you will gain the skills needed to defend IPv6 networks effectively and ensure compliance with security best practices.
