Course Overview

As cyber threats continue to evolve, organizations must align their cybersecurity programs with national governance frameworks to strengthen resilience, ensure regulatory compliance, and protect critical services. The UAE National Cybersecurity Framework provides a structured approach for governance, risk management, collaboration, and continuous improvement across government entities, critical infrastructure operators, and private organizations. This course offers a practical guide to understanding and implementing the framework.

This course begins with the UAE National Cybersecurity Governance Model, exploring the three-tier governance structure, reporting relationships, and coordination between the Cyber Security Council (CSC), Emirate Leads, Sector Leads, and Critical Information Infrastructure (CII) entities. It then examines the five-phase cybersecurity adoption lifecycle, including understanding strategic objectives, assessing cyber risks, implementing national controls, monitoring security effectiveness, and collaborating through national information-sharing initiatives. Finally, the course covers the operational implementation of the UAE Information Assurance (IA) Standard v2.1, including its management and technical control families, control prioritization, and reporting through the National Cyber Index Platform.

By the end of this course, you will be able to implement the UAE National Cybersecurity Framework and align organizational cybersecurity programs with national governance and compliance requirements.
