Course Overview

Open-source Intelligence (OSINT) is an essential capability in cybersecurity, digital investigations, and ethical hacking. It enables professionals to collect and analyze publicly available information to investigate people, organizations, websites, and digital footprints. This course focuses on performing OSINT using Windows, providing a practical alternative for situations where a Linux environment is unavailable. This course begins with the fundamentals of OSINT, the OSINT cycle, data collection, investigative preparation, and reporting. It covers virtual machine setup, business and people searches, note-taking, data protection, basic security, browser configuration, and tools such as Maltego and SpiderFoot. You will also explore website intelligence, search engines, image and email investigations, social media research, dark web searches, misinformation detection, canary tokens, AI in OSINT, and practical investigations using Windows-based tools. By the end of this course, you will be able to conduct structured OSINT investigations on Windows, use relevant tools effectively, protect your research environment, and organize findings into actionable reports.
