Course Overview

Parrot OS is a powerful security-focused operating system widely used by penetration testers and ethical hackers for vulnerability assessment, digital forensics, and network security testing. This course introduces learners to Parrot OS in a controlled lab environment and demonstrates how its built-in tools help identify, analyze, and simulate real-world cyber threats. By understanding how attackers operate, learners can better defend systems, strengthen security controls, and reduce organizational risk.

This course begins with setting up Parrot OS and Windows virtual machines for hands-on practice. It then covers information gathering and footprinting using tools such as Nmap, netdiscover, p0f, Dmitry, and Recon-ng. Next, learners explore social engineering attack simulations, followed by vulnerability assessment using OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite, Nikto, and Wireshark. The course then moves into penetration testing with SQL injection, SQLmap, Metasploit, post-exploitation techniques, and antivirus evasion demonstrations. Finally, it introduces wireless attack concepts and tools like Wifite and Fern Wi-Fi Cracker, enabling learners to understand Wi-Fi security weaknesses and countermeasures.
