Dr. Jetzabel Serna is a cybersecurity and privacy expert with more than 16 years of experience working at national and international levels for both public and private sectors (e.g., academia, finance, public services, technology providers, and automotive). Dr. Serna has vast experience in the different aspects of privacy and data protection, such as legal, psychological, societal, and technical. She combines her scientific background with her industry experience to apply state-of-the-art concepts and technologies to implement methods, processes, and tools to monitor privacy and ensure data protection compliance. Dr. Serna is a passionate trainer and university lecturer who has designed training programs focused on the intersections of cyber security, privacy, and usability and has succeeded in preparing privacy researchers for their incorporation into the industry.
