Course Overview

Critical Information Infrastructure (CII) forms the backbone of essential services such as energy, healthcare, finance, transportation, and telecommunications. Protecting these critical assets is essential for maintaining national security, economic stability, and public trust. This course introduces the principles of Critical Information Infrastructure Protection (CIIP), national cyber risk management, and resilience planning to help organizations identify critical assets, assess cyber risks, and improve preparedness against evolving cyber threats.

This course begins with the fundamentals of Critical Information Infrastructure by explaining how CII sectors are defined and how critical systems are identified. It then explores the National Cyber Risk Management Framework (NCRMF), including techniques for identifying, analyzing, evaluating, and treating risks to critical services. Finally, the course covers strategies for building national cyber resilience through the development of national risk profiles, understanding digital interdependencies, and implementing Critical Information Infrastructure Protection (CIIP) principles to strengthen situational awareness and coordinated cyber defense.

By the end of this course, you will be able to identify critical infrastructure assets, apply national cyber risk management practices, and contribute to strengthening cyber resilience for essential services.
