Course Overview

Emerging technologies such as sovereign cloud, artificial intelligence, and the Internet of Things (IoT) are transforming how organizations operate, while introducing new security, privacy, and governance challenges. Security professionals must understand how to protect sensitive data, secure AI systems throughout their lifecycle, and defend connected devices against evolving cyber threats. This course provides practical knowledge of securing these modern technology environments using industry best practices and governance frameworks.

This course begins with cloud security and sovereignty concepts, covering baseline secure, partial sovereign, and sovereign cloud models, data residency, legal jurisdiction, and the shared responsibility model. It then explores AI cybersecurity governance, including securing the AI lifecycle, defending against adversarial AI attacks, managing algorithm changes, and implementing AI-specific incident response and digital forensics. Finally, the course focuses on IoT security architecture by applying security-by-design principles, protecting devices from hardware tampering, securing device-to-cloud communications, and continuously monitoring IoT ecosystems for unauthorized access and vulnerabilities.
