CIS Controls is a control framework developed by cybersecurity specialists, based on their real-life experience. The framework provides you with information on what safeguards are needed, what to deploy, and what characteristics are needed in each category of controls. CIS Benchmarks are guidelines for hardening specific operating systems, middleware, software applications, and network devices. These are the primary measures all organizations should implement as a means of basic cyber defense. This 2-part course will help you understand the controls available, what controls are needed for every company and situation, and how to develop a roadmap of control deployment, prioritizing the most needed ones and providing management with a predictable cost expectancy.
