Course Overview

In today’s digital landscape, web applications are a prime target for attackers due to their exposure and often vulnerable code. The Website Hacking Techniques course equips learners with the skills to understand, simulate, and mitigate common web-based attacks. By learning how vulnerabilities like SQL Injection, XSS, Buffer Overflows, and Directory Traversals are exploited, cybersecurity professionals can proactively defend against them. Understanding these hacking methods is essential not only for penetration testers and ethical hackers but also for developers and IT professionals responsible for securing applications and sensitive data.

This course begins with setting up a dedicated penetration testing environment using virtual machines, Kali Linux, and intentionally vulnerable web applications. It then dives deep into input validation vulnerabilities, exploring attacks such as SQL Injection (Boolean-based and automated), HTML Injection, various types of Cross-Site Scripting (Persistent, Reflected, and DOM), and Buffer Overflow. Learners will also uncover the mechanics of Directory Traversal attacks and how to upload and execute shells on a server. The course further explores error handling flaws through injection and brute force attack testing, as well as analyzing encrypted web traffic using interception techniques.
