Course Overview

Metasploit is the most common command and control (C2) framework used by penetration testers and Red Team operators around the globe. It is a framework that is a “must-know” and will give you the confidence to successfully operate on a target network. 

This course begins with an introduction to penetration testing and the Metasploit framework, including software setup and network configuration. It then dives into Metasploit's functionalities, covering console navigation, reconnaissance techniques, NMAP usage, and module exploration for host and service discovery. You'll progress to advanced topics like exploit research, payload management, and shell usage. The course also introduces Meterpreter for maintaining control over compromised machines, teaches bypassing security measures like firewalls and antivirus using MSFvenom, and explains persistence and privilege escalation techniques with Meterpreter, Netcat, and RDP. Advanced tactics such as Pass-The-Hash attacks, system investigation, and network pivoting are covered before concluding with a summary of key takeaways and additional resources. 

By the end of this course, you will have a comprehensive understanding of the Metasploit framework and its application in penetration testing.
